Maca Recipes

Since cooking can destroy some of the vital nutrients of Raw Maca Powders, we recommend only using Maca recipes that involve heat below about 120 F/ 45 C.  The one exception is if you use Gelatinized Maca, which has already been heated.

**Tip #1: if you have digestive difficulties we recommend that you use Maca separately from fruit as the mixture of the two can potentially disturb digestion. Gelatinized Maca is also the best choice for people with digestive sensitivity, since the process that makes it removes all starch content from the powder.

Fast and Simple Maca Drink Recipe

2 cups fresh coconut water (use fresh squeeze fruit juice as an alternative)
2-3 t maca powder

Stir and enjoy

**If you have trouble getting your Maca Powder to mix well, try putting it in a blender or shaking it in a glass jar.

Maca Greenfood Smoothie RecipeMaca Recipes

1 handful greens of your choice
1/2 cup to 1 cup fresh young coconut water
1 ripe banana
1 ripe kiwi fruit
2-3 t  maca powder
1 T coconut butter
1T  raw honey or agave nectar

Blend all ingredients until smooth

Chocolate Maca Monster Recipe

**This one will keep you going for a while.  Best to take it when you plan to stay up for several hours.

2-3  t of maca powder
8 oz  almond milk
8 oz purified water
1 cup strawberries/blueberries/acai berries
2 T  honey
2 T raw chocolate powder

Blend and enjoy

**Tip #2: If you do decide to use Maca in a cooked food recipe, try adding your Maca powder at the end of cooking so as to expose it to as little heat as possible.

Banana Strawberry Smoothie with Maca

6 fresh strawberries, sliced
1 banana
1-3 t. maca powder
2 Tbs. water
1 C ice cubes
2 small chocolates (optional)

Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Simple Maca Oatmeal

**One of our customers uses our Red Maca in this recipe instead of any kind of sweetener.  Red Maca is our sweetest variety of Maca.  She says her kids love it.

2-3  t of Red Maca powder
1 c warm oatmeal
honey to sweeten if desired

Stir all ingredients together and serve immediately.

Maca Snack Bars

½ C soaked cashews
½ C maca powder
¼ tsp. sea salt
3 dates, pitted
1/8 C honey
1 C coconut flakes
¼ C coconut oil
2 Tbs. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper

Put all ingredients in a food processor and process until a dough-like ball is formed.  Flatten the ball of dough onto a small pan, making dough however thick you would like the bars. Freeze for 10 to 15 minutes.  Remove from freezer and cut into bars.

Banana Maca Protein Body Builder Recipe

**Hemp seeds are a great source of protein – 11 gm of protein per ounce!

2-3 t of Maca Powder – We recommend Black Maca as it’s the best for muscle building and stamina
8 oz hemp seed milk
2 bananas

Blend and enjoy

Simple Maca Fruit Salad Recipemaca fruit salad recipe

2-3  t of maca powder
1 apple, cubed
1 banana, sliced
1/4 pineapple, cubed
5 strawberries, sliced
4 oz  raw almond milk

Mix all ingredients and enjoy

Spicy Maca Soup Recipe

1-3 t Maca powder
1 1/2 cups fresh tomato juice
1/2 fresh cucumber
1 to 2 stalks celery
1 yellow pepper,  diced
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
Season to Taste (Salt, Pepper, etc.)

Blend all ingredients except pepper until smooth.  Stir in pepper and enjoy this refreshing soup

**Tip #3: We’ve kept the amount of Maca in each of these Maca recipes consistent with our standard recommendations. You may want to add more Maca powder depending on your goals. See our full Maca Doage guidelines for further information.

Maca Cleanse Drink Recipe

1-3 t maca powder
1/2 Cup Prune Juice
3/4 Cup Apricot Juice
1/2 Cup Orange Juice

Mix all ingredients and enjoy (stay near a bathroom)

Maca Power Juice Recipe

1-3 t Maca Powder
2 cups carrot juice
2 parsley sprigs
1 juiced apple

Juice vegetables and fruits, then add the maca and enjoy immediately

Maca Durian Pudding Recipemaca recipe with durian

2-3 t Red Maca powder
flesh of 1 durian
2 C of fresh coconut water

Blend all ingredients well and enjoy – durian and Maca are divine together

Maca Tea Recipe

2-3  t maca powder
1 C of your favorite tea

Mix maca into tea after it has cooled enough to drink
