We are proud to use and sell only certified organic Maca products. Although our Maca is certified organic in Peru, that certification must be confirmed in the U.S. for us to be able to call our Maca “certified organic.”
Organic certification guarantees that the product you end up with has been grown, processed and packaged naturally without the use of pesticides and chemicals. As a result you can be assured that the Maca you receive from us is 100% pure and uncontaminated.
These are our certifications:
California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF)
CCOF was founded in 1973 as a mutual assistance and certification organization for organic farmers and was one the first organizations to perform organic certification in North America. Since then, the CCOF seal has been your assurance of certification with integrity. Today, CCOF maintains one of the most consumer recognized and trusted seals in the organic marketplace. CCOF remains one of the oldest and largest organic certification and trade associations in North America, with more than 2,000 certified members throughout the farm and processing community and more than 350 supporting members.
USDA Organic (USDA)
Organic production is a system that is managed in accordance with the Organic Foods Production Act (OFPA) of 1990 (PDF) and regulations in Title 7, Part 205 of the Code of Federal Regulations to respond to site-specific conditions by integrating cultural, biological, and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance, and conserve biodiversity. The National Organic Program (NOP) develops, implements, and administers national production, handling, and labeling standards.
